How much are the women sitting paid ? OLPC would be a really successful project if the handls building it were treated nicely (and china doesn't exactly have a good reputation for that)...

China is growing rapidly. I have a supervisor friend there and according to him they can be leader soon. Because it is impossible to struggle with them as you can predict, the value of labour is almost zero.
Yes, looks cool. It depends on who is making things over there. If apple produces there, I have no doubts. But last week I got a backgammon set from my boss "made in China". The smell was so awfull that I put it in the trash.
